EYIN sa L’Awimayehun
EYIN sa L’Alewi lese
EYIN sa L’Asoro ma t’ase
A s’oro ma t’ase
Awimayehun

You are the One who abides by what you say
You are able to do whatever You say
When you speak it comes to pass
The One who speaks and it comes to pass
You abide by your powerful WORD

please help me to acquire the entire lyrics to “eyin sa l’awimayehun,” as they are sang by Pastor Enoch Adeboye. I would also like those of “Oyigiyigi.” I am having a baby and would like to sing these songs to him, having him grow up knowing the songs of our true heritage. Thank you and God Bless.

Praying for all of Gods presence as you bring forth your baby to the glory of Gods name. Those songs are available at the Redemption camp so you may send someone there to help you get them. Stay blessed!

Thank you for your post Praise. God Bless you.

This is a Very Deep Yoruba Worship Song.

The original Song writer (Name Withheld) caught the inspiration for this song from the Scripture taken from Numbers 23:19 through The Holy Spirit.

‘God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?’ – Numbers 23:19 NIV

‘God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?’ NLT

Unfortunately though, the Depth of this Worship Lyrics was lost because it was made popular by probably by non-Yorubas, or individuas who cannot pronounce or understand the original words.

Now, it’s the ‘altered’ version we all hear around, sang during praise and worship sessions in our churches. Really, really Sad!

I’d like to use this opportunity on this platform to correct and bring back the True format of this lovely worship song.

I’ll also attempt to translate it to English to the best of my knowledge, though we all know the Yoruba language is far richer than the English language. (LOL ; )

    Here we go:

    E YIN SHA~ L’AWI MA YE HUN…
Are You Not The One Who Speaks and Not Change Your Mind? – (The Promise Keeper)

    EYIN SHA~ L’ALEWI-LESE…
Are You Not The One Who Promises and Carries It Through?

    EYIN SHA~ L’A TO FARA TI…
Are You Not The Dependable / Reliable One?

    A S’ORO MA T’ASE…
The One who Speaks and Not Fail..

    EYIN L’A S’ORO MA GBA GBE…
The One Who Speaks and Not Forget..

    ASORO MA T’ASE O~
The One who speaks and not fail..

    AWI MA YE HUN!
    The Promise Keeper!

    CHORUS:-
    NI TORI NA L’ESE JÉ~ OLUWA …(2X)
That Is Why You Are The Lord God Almighty…(2x)

    EYIN L’ALEWI-LESE…
You Are The One Who Promises And Carries It Through?

    EYIN L’AWI MA YE HUN!
    You Are The Promise Keeper!
    (You Never Change Your Mind)

NI TORI NA L’ESE JÉ OLUWA
That Is Why You Are The Lord God Almighty (Jehovah!)

    Amen!…

    Thank you!
    Hope this was a Blessing.
    Shalom!…
